Are leagues required to use the season scheduling tool?
No. Using DartConnect’s scheduling program is optional.
If you choose to use your existing scheduling process, simply select the “calendar” option on the schedule page and set your season dates. All other functions of the league portal are identical.
You may still want to create your league venue list to add your sponsor’s establishments to the Global Darts Finder database.
What if the schedule tool cannot accommodate our league’s requirements?
Should you find that the scheduling tool cannot produce a schedule that works for your season, you can still utilize the DartConnect platform, using the Calendar function. To revert to that option, you must delete all of the schedules, following these steps:
Follow the prompts to set the dates for your season, and use the platform in conjunction with your existing scheduling process.
You may still want to create your league venue list to add your sponsor’s establishments to the Global Darts Finder database.
Understanding Traveling vs. In-House vs. Online Leagues
The scheduling tool works with all three types of leagues, with the following differences:
Traveling leagues are defined as leagues that host opponents at their “Home” venue and visit their opponents venues for “Away” matches. These schedules can be the most challenging to coordinate, especially when venues are shared between multiple teams, across different divisions. The scheduling tool has been optimized to mitigate match conflicts, especially between divisions with 4 to 8 teams each.
In-House leagues do not travel, so players play both their “Home” and “Away” matches at the same venue. DartConnect provides optional Session and Board Management tools to assist with scheduling. Note: Matches are still set up, designating players as either Home or Away for each match.
Online leagues avoid the complexity of matches competing for venues or boards, since everyone plays from their own board. The scheduling process is effortless, and guaranteed to avoid conflicts.
Can the schedule be printed for captains and players?
You can print out team schedules if needed – follow the instructions below.
However, DC Schedules are designed to be dynamic, enabling the schedule to be edited for extreme situations, including: Extreme weather, adding a “make up” week, changing a team’s sponsor when a venue closes or a team dropping out. This allows league organizers to update the schedule in real time for everyone.
We encourage players to access the online schedules on DCTV and My DartConnect to ensure they have the most current version every week.
What if our league plays matches on more than one board simultaneously?
If your league format includes playing the same match on more than one board, DartConnect’s schedule can handle this seamlessly.
For scheduling, after you set how many boards are used in a match, the system will factor that into the schedule it generates so that matches are only scheduled when enough boards are available in the venue.
For each tablet/device used for scorekeeping, select the same scheduled match to play on each device. After matches are saved and synced to the servers, DartConnect will automatically merge the individual matches together into a single match report.
This will happen automatically, even if matches are played on different days.
Pro Tip: Matches that have already been played may also be reopened to continue to play. For example, if the match was ended and saved accidentally or because of an interruption, it can still be accessed later to complete the match.
What if I can’t find one of my venues with the search tool?
If the search tool can’t find the correct venue by name only, add the city/town to refine your search.
Should the proper venue stiIl not appear, attempt to search for the venue via the street address.
If the venue still does not appear in the search list, you can still enter it manually, using the “Create Your Own Venue” link.
Will the scheduling tool accommodate venues with multiple teams?
A venue may host 2 teams per dart board, per “time slot” before resorting to utilizing “sessions” to schedule an early and late match on the same day.
When two teams from the same division compete on the same dart board/venue they will only be at that venue when the schedule has them play against each other.
When two teams from different divisions, compete on the same dartboard/venue, they will never be at the same home venue, at the same time.
Can we use the scheduler if our season has already begun?
The short answer is “Yes”.
DartConnect’s manual schedule options allows you to create a custom schedule by building it one match at a time. This option cam also be used for copying an existing schedule instead of using DartConnect’s automated scheduling engine.

If starting mid-season, make sure the schedule is complete and team’s are made aware of how to access their scheduled matches before the next league match is played.
If you choose to wait until next season to use the scheduling feature, we encourage you to get a head start by populating your league venue list now to prepare.
Does the entire league have to follow the same schedule or can divisions have different schedules?
When teams are sharing venues within a division or across different divisions, while playing in the same time slot, these divisions must be on the same schedule to minimize match conflicts.
For example: A league has advanced players compete on Monday night and beginner players compete on Wednesday night. ALL divisions associated with advanced players must be affiliated with the Monday schedule. ALL divisions associated with the beginners must be affiliated with the Wednesday schedule.
The exception would be if ALL the teams in any division does NOT share any venues with teams in another division. This division is capable of having its own schedule.
How many times can opponents play each other?
When creating a schedule, select the number of times a team will play each opponent. Current options include:
How does the scheduling handle post-season playoffs?
The scheduling tool is designed for regular season only.
DartConnect’s post-season options include two options that will create scheduled matches in the scoring app:
The standard “Manual” post-season match option will not create scheduled matches.

Can the schedule be printed for captains and players?
You can print out team schedules if needed – follow the instructions below.
NOTE: By default, the print function will print out the schedule for each team in the division. If an individual team schedule is desired, use the printing menu to select the page associated with the desired team.
The schedule is available to the public through DartConnect TV, and is designed for viewing on mobile phones and devices. We encourage you to go completely paperless except for those who do not have access to the Internet or a device to view the schedule.
Can changes be made to the schedule after it has been saved and published?
This depends on the type of changes, and the state of the season. When no matches have been completed, any change is possible, but depending on the nature of the change, the play order for ANY division may change, even if no change was made for that particular division.
No Completed Season Matches
If no matches have been played, you can cancel a published schedule to make changes and then regenerate it.
Please note that changes in one division may affect the entire schedule for some or all divisions, depending on factors such as venues shared by teams in different divisions.
After regenerating a schedule, use the Audit Reports to review and evaluate these additional changes before publishing.
Completed Season Matches
If matches have been completed, all matches associated with this schedule must be voided first, essentially “erasing”. This option is typically only used when accidental matches have been played before the season has actually begun.
As described, a schedule should be thoroughly reviewed whenever changes have been made before publishing it for players to view.
The following changes can be used with the schedule tool’s “Advanced Options”:

The following types of changes may be made to individual matches after a schedule has been published:
To access these tools, open your schedule and do the following:
Why are completed matches appearing in the "Postponed" section of the schedule?
This can happen if the app was not updated before the match with the new league schedule. Typically this occurs mostly during the first 1-2 matches of the season.
You may also notice this in your portal match log if a match displays a BLANK space in the “M# (Match Number)” column:
This can be repaired using the portal “Match Editing” feature in the match log.
What if a match has to be rescheduled?
Unplayed matches will remain available throughout the regular season.
Matches that are partially completed, can be revisited at any time during the season to add the unplayed legs. DartConnect automatically merges the match data into one match report.
Rescheduled matches can have their date and time edited, which will update the public schedule and the scoring app with the new date and time.
What if an entire schedule or league must skip a week due to an unexpected event?
Should extreme weather, temporary lockdown or mid-season break be required, simply insert a “skip” week in the schedule. All online schedules will be automatically updated.
Do matches need to be played in the order that they appear on the schedule?
Any match that appears in the schedule can be selected to play at any time, it does not have to be played on the scheduled day or in the order that they appear.
The date and time for any individual match can be updated in the schedule. This will update the public schedule and the date listed for the match in the scoring app.
Pro Tip: Matches that have already been played may also be reopened to continue to play. For example, if the match was ended and saved accidentally or because of an interruption, it can still be accessed later to continue play.
