The 3 Critical Factors for a Successful DartConnect Event

Tablets & PCs

Tablets are required at every board and 1 PC for the control desk. Larger Events may require additional devices.

Venue WiFi

Reliable WiFi is a must!

Event Team

Small events can be run by one experienced person. Larger events can operate with a small core team.

Tablets & PCs

Tablets & PCs – How Many?

Bracket PCs – Events require at least one PC to manage the competition. Large tournaments with multiple overlapping events, may have more than one bracket operator requiring an additional PC.

Registration PCs – If your event offers on-site payment or requires on-site confirmation for those who have pre-registered, additional PC’s are recommended to minimize player lines during peak periods.

Tablets – DartConnect events require one tablet for each board, plus a few extra for backups (always be prepared). Events with on-site payment will require additional tablets for player registration.

DartConnect is compatible with almost all operating systems and tablet brands including quality Android brands, Windows, and Apple iPads as early as 2nd generation.

How Important is WiFi?

A successful DartConnect event REQUIRES a network that is not competing with public use or shared with video streaming or other high-bandwidth activity. The larger your event, the more important a quality, password protected network is. Don’t let this critical element compromise your event. Download the guide to learn more about:

Event Team

Prepare Your Team!

Small events attended by players familiar with DartConnect can often be run by one experienced operator. For larger events, your core team remains the same, but DartConnect recommends having extra help during peak periods, especially for registration and first rounds of match play. Allocating extra staff to supporting players on the floor will minimize control desk interruptions and keep events running on time.

DartConnect’s free training options and help guides will ensure everyone on the team is prepared for the live event.
