Expanded League Match Point Options
Leagues that use the Advanced Match Builder (AMB) have expanded options for assigning league points for match scoring.
What Are League Points?
“League Points” sets the final score of the match that will determine the division standings table on DCTV.
Options have been updated to include the following:
- Award LEG WIN Points according to Team Size – This option will award points to either team for every leg won. The point value is determined by team size (e.g. singles=1 point; doubles=2 points, etc)
- Assign Custom Points to Each Set of the Match – Each individual set will be assigned a specific number of points to award to the winner of the set
- Assign Custom Bonus Points for MATCH Wins and Sweeps – Specific bonus points can be awarded for winning or sweeping a match. A “match sweep” can be defined as requiring a team to win all sets OR win all legs.
- Assign Custom Bonus Points for SET Wins and Sweeps – Specific bonus points can be assigned to individual sets to award bonus points for winning OR sweeping a set. A “set sweep” is defined as winning all legs of a set.

Note: Make sure that you have set up your Primary Ranking and Tie-Breakers to ensure teams/players are ranked correctly in your Division Standings. See “Season Settings > Division Standings”.
How To Update AMB Settings:
- Open your portal and select a Division to Edit Match Level Details
- Click the “Edit+” link on the Blue Bar at the top (see picture)
- Next, Scroll Down to the “League Points” section
AMB League Points Option Menu:
If no available option fits your league format, select the “Manual League Points” option to update scores by editing individual completed matches in the portal match log.
Note: If point settings are updated AFTER matches have been played, prior match points will be automatically recalculated. Use the match log editing tools to adjust points as needed.
MATCH Bonus Points:
Some leagues award additional bonus points to a team when they win and/or sweep a match. Use this function to enable bonus points that will be added after the match is completed.
A “MATCH Sweep” is defined as winning all sets OR all legs of a match.
Select the bonus option that fits your league format:
- Yes – Regardless of how the match is won – Enter the number of points to be added to the final score for the match winner
- Yes – However, only when a “Match Sweep” occurs – Enter the number of points to be added to the final score for the team that “sweeps”. When selecting this option, you will be asked to define if a sweep occurs when all SETS are won or all LEGS are won.
- Yes – Depends on how the match is won – Enter BOTH the number of points awarded for a win versus the number of points awarded for a sweep. Note: These values are “either / or”; a team will NOT be awarded both types of bonus points. When selecting this option, you will be asked to define if a sweep occurs when all SETS are won or all LEGS are won.
SET Bonus Points:
Some leagues award additional bonus points to a team when they win and/or sweep an individual set in a match. Use this function to enable bonus points for set wins and/or sweeps.
Set bonus points must be manually set for each individual set in the match. Bonus points can be added to any AMB’s existing set, by opening the set and editing the section labeled “Players, Points & Scorekeeping”.
A “Set Sweep” is defined as winning all legs of a set.
